DIMENSION DATA WINS CISCO DATA CENTRE PARTNER OF THE YEAR AT CISCO AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND BUSINESS PARTNER CONFERENCE
Sydney, Australia – November, 18, 2009 – Dimension Data announced today that it is the recipient of a Cisco Australia and New Zealand Business Partner Conference award for Data Centre Partner of the Year. Cisco unveiled the winners on November 17, 2009 at its business partner conference in Sydney, Australia.
The objective of the National Awards is to recognise exemplary business partners whose actions Cisco would like other partners to model. Nominations include: innovative practices, architecture-led approach successes, business differentiation and sales approaches. All winners are selected by a group of Cisco Australia and New Zealand Partner and Country executives.
"I have the honour and privilege of recognising Dimension Data as a Cisco Australia and New Zealand Business Partner Conference country award winner that leads customers to their next phase of productivity and growth," said Michael Lehmann, director of Business Partner Operations for Cisco Australia and New Zealand. “The Data Centre Partner of the Year award recognises Dimension Data’s performance and accomplishments as a Cisco business partner in 2008.”
“The award is a vindication of the investment we have made in developing our capabilities and client-facing solutions in the data centre space, especially with regards to the Virtual Computing Environment (VCE) coalition with partners Cisco, EMC and VMware. We also recognised very early on the impact that the Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) would have on the data centre, and we are starting to see reward for our efforts, with significant client interest in adopting this technology,” said George Atrash, General Manager for Connectivity, Dimension Data.
Earlier this year at the Cisco Global Partner Summit in Boston, Dimension Data Australia was also recognised as the Data Centre Partner of the Year for the Asia-Pacific region.
Cisco Australia and New Zealand Business Partner Conference awards reflect a partner’s performance in driving differentiation in its business and extending its capabilities to accelerate customer business transformation in 2008.
